ARCANA PROJECT is a Japanese six-member girls' vocal unit and J-pop group built around a tarot card concept. Jointly produced by Lantis and DEARSTAGE, the project combines an idol-style image with the symbolism of the Major and Minor Arcana, while Mia_REGINA directs some of their songs and dances.
The group debuted on January 18, 2020, and later held its first organized live, "ACE of CUPS," a title taken from the Minor Arcana. ARCANA PROJECT also released the pre-debut single "ACE of WANDS" on March 25, 2020, establishing the tarot naming scheme that became central to its identity. Its early activity was shaped by the COVID-19 outbreak, which canceled all release events in March and pushed the group into online performances when live house shows were restricted.
The original lineup featured Sasaki Mai as The World, Sorano Aozora as The Wheel of Fortune, Sakurano Usa as The Empress, Aida Shion as The Judgement, Hanamiya Hana as The Magician, and Amano Hikaru as The Star. Hanamiya Hana had previously performed as Hana Toriaez. Sasaki Mai left on March 20, 2021, and Sorano Aozora left on June 29, 2024. The group expanded on April 29, 2025, when Shidomi Yuuka joined as The Lovers and Yoshino Sakura joined as The Fool. ARCANA PROJECT’s outfits use a shared design with personalized details, reinforcing the balance between unity and individuality, and two members have also joined the DS Gaming Team for eSports appearances. In 2026, the group continued contributing to anime music with the ending song music video for The Food Diary of Miss Maid and an insert song music video for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea.
