Shiroi Suna no Aquatope

Shiroi Suna no Aquatope follows Fuuka Miyazawa after she leaves her idol career behind and takes a spontaneous flight to Okinawa instead of returning home to her pity party in Morioka. Carrying a heavy heart and nowhere to go, she wanders aimlessly through the area until she stumbles upon Gama Gama Aquarium, an aging aquarium that is on the verge of closing down. With visitors dwindling and expensive repairs urgently needed to keep the doors open, the director is forced to consider shutting the establishment down for good by the end of the summer. His aquatic life-loving granddaughter, Kukuru Misakino, cannot bear the thought of the aquarium closing and is determined to make enough money by the end of the season to keep it alive. Seeing the unique magic of the aquarium, Fuuka begs Kukuru for a job, only to discover that her lack of experience makes her more of a hindrance than a help. At the same time, Kukuru realizes that her own ambitious goal may be more than she can handle. As pressure mounts from every direction, the two girls must find a way to protect the place they have come to treasure before summer slips away.
