Yosuga no Sora follows Haruka and Sora Kasugano, twin siblings who return to the quiet rural town of their childhood after losing both parents in a sudden accident. Moving back into the old family home, they are forced to live with memories of the past while trying to build a new life in familiar streets and fields. As Haruka reconnects with longtime acquaintances and Sora struggles with her own fragile emotions, the twins are drawn into a web of friendship, affection, jealousy, and tension that slowly unsettles the small community around them.
Set in a countryside village far from the noise of the city, Yosuga no Sora explores how grief, isolation, and dependence can shape relationships. The story introduces Haruka to several girls and friends from the town, each of whom brings a different emotional weight to his life, from childhood familiarity and quiet support to unresolved longing and rivalry. Rather than treating the return home as a simple reset, the series uses it to reveal how old bonds can deepen, fracture, or become impossible to ignore. At its center, Yosuga no Sora is a melancholy drama about memory, closeness, and the uncomfortable choices people make when the past refuses to stay buried.
