In Wind Breaker, Haruka Sakura arrives at Furin High School with one goal: to prove that he is the strongest. Mocked since childhood for his appearance and poor social skills, he has learned to trust almost nothing except fighting, and he expects school to be just another place where he has to survive through force.
What he finds instead changes that goal into something larger. Furin's students are feared for their brawling reputation, but the strongest among them protect the streets of Makochi as Bofurin, a group that stands guard over the town rather than terrorizing it. After a clash brings Sakura face to face with his future classmates, he is pulled into their world of loyalty, pride, and uneasy acceptance.
As Sakura takes on hostile gangs and stronger opponents, he begins to discover a different kind of strength: one that comes from protecting others, standing beside people who trust him, and learning how to accept that same trust in return. Wind Breaker turns that conflict into a coming-of-age story about belonging, respect, and the bonds forged through shared battles.
