Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann follows Simon and Kamina, two boys raised in a deep underground village where the surface is treated like a myth. Kamina is a free-spirited loose cannon determined to make a name for himself, while Simon is a timid young boy with no real aspirations. Their lives change when Simon uncovers a mysterious object that turns out to be the ignition key to Lagann, an ancient artifact of war. When a surprise attack from the surface strikes, the two fight back with the help of Yoko Littner, a hot-blooded redhead wielding a massive gun who wanders the world above. With the sky suddenly in plain view, Simon and Kamina leave the safety of the underground village and set out across the wastelands of the surface alongside Yoko. There, they face the Beastmen, humanoid creatures who terrorize the remnants of humanity with powerful robots called Gunmen. As the trio clashes with these enemies and gathers other survivors to their cause, they begin to reclaim the surface and uncover the galaxy-sized mystery hidden behind their world. The story blends desperate battles, rising hope, and the bond between people who refuse to stay buried forever.
