In Star Driver, Southern Cross Isle hides a secret war beneath its calm surface. The Glittering Crux Brigade searches for Cybodies, ancient stone giants that can only be awakened in the sealed dimension of Zero Time. Their plan depends on breaking the seals watched over by four seal maidens, which would let the Cybodies cross into the real world and give the Brigade control of the island's hidden power.
When Takuto Tsunashi washes ashore on the island, he is quickly drawn into that conflict after meeting Sugata Shindou and Wako Agemaki. He enrolls at the local academy, where ordinary classes and club life overlap with secret loyalties, and many of his classmates are tied in one way or another to Glittering Crux. As Takuto learns that he can pilot the Cybody Tauburn in Zero Time, he becomes a key figure in the struggle over Wako's seal and the mysteries buried beneath Southern Cross Isle.
Mixing mecha action, school drama, and surreal imagery, Star Driver follows rival factions, hidden identities, and the uneasy boundary between everyday life and the supernatural forces shaping the island.
