Sidonia no Kishi

Sidonia no Kishi unfolds in the year 3394, centuries after the alien Gauna destroyed Earth and forced the remnants of humanity onto massive seed ships drifting through space. On the ship Sidonia, Nagate Tanikaze has spent his entire life hidden deep below the surface, cut off from the society above him. When he climbs up in search of food, he is pulled into the struggle that will decide whether the ship can survive another day. As the Gauna continue their relentless assaults, Tanikaze is forced into the role of defender for humanity’s last hope. With the support of fellow soldiers and friends Shizuka Hoshijiro, Izana Shinatose, and Yuhata Midorikawa, he must learn the rules, dangers, and fragile bonds of a world he has never known. Sidonia no Kishi follows his growth from an isolated survivor into the hero the ship needs, while the crew fights to preserve the future of a civilization that has already lost its home. The series balances military survival, isolation, and fragile human connection as Sidonia faces an enemy that never stops returning.
