Shounen Maid follows Chihiro Komiya, an elementary school student raised by his mother on the motto “no work, no food.” When her sudden death leaves him with no home and no family, Chihiro is approached by a rich and frivolous stranger who reveals himself as his long-lost uncle, Madoka Takatori. Chihiro is not eager to trust him, but that changes when he arrives at Madoka’s high-class mansion and finds it buried under dust and garbage. Unable to ignore the mess, his neatfreak instincts take over, and he immediately begins cleaning the entire residence.
That impulsive cleanup becomes the start of a new life. Madoka offers to take Chihiro in, while Chihiro agrees to handle the housework, receive a salary, and—thanks to a frilly uniform handmade by his uncle—serve as the maid of the house. Around them, figures such as Miyako Ootori and Keiichirou Shinozaki add to the bustle of Madoka’s unusual household. Blending lighthearted comedy with a gentle found-family story, the series follows Chihiro as he brings order to his new home and gradually builds warm new bonds there.
