Seikon no Qwaser

At Saint Mikhailov Academy, Seikon no Qwaser begins after Tomo Yamanobe's father, the former headmaster, disappears and leaves behind only an icon, a sacred painting soon linked to rumors of a serial killer attacking female students. As fear spreads through the school, Tomo and her sister Mafuyu Oribe are pulled into a hidden struggle around the icon, the church that shelters it, and the qwasers, warriors who command a single element through the power of soma received through breastfeeding. During one tense encounter, Tomo stumbles over an injured silver-haired boy who vanishes before she can understand who he is. Soon afterward, Mafuyu finds the church burning and tries to save the icon, only to be confronted by the rumored killer, whose mysterious control over magnesium is answered by the same boy's power over iron. He is Alexander Nikolaevich "Sasha" Hell, and his transfer into Mafuyu's class the next day makes normal life impossible. Other qwasers soon gather around Saint Mikhailov, and the battle widens beyond the first attacks at the academy into a clash between rival factions pursuing the relics known as the High Circuit. Figures such as Ekaterina Kurae, Hana Katsuragi, and Teresa Beria deepen the conflict as Tomo and Mafuyu are drawn further into church secrets, unstable alliances, and violent confrontations tied to the icon's significance. What begins as a school mystery grows into a broader supernatural struggle in which Sasha's mission, the academy's hidden history, and the power of the qwasers repeatedly collide.
