No Guns Life unfolds in a hard-edged city where Berühren Corporation has pushed the technology for creating powerful cyborg soldiers into public use. The people enhanced with robotic parts are called the Extended, and Juuzou Inui is one of them: an Extended built as a soldier who lost all memory of his former life. After the war, he makes a living handling incidents involving the Extended, taking on the kinds of cases that most people would rather ignore. In a city built on implants, contracts, and buried loyalties, Juuzou lives close to the violence while trying to stay detached from the machinery of the world around him.
That uneasy balance breaks when rumors reach him about a renegade Extended who has kidnapped a child. The situation becomes impossible to dismiss when a giant robotic man bursts into his office with the boy on his back and asks for help. Juuzou could simply turn him in and walk away, but everything about the setup feels wrong from the start. As more people close in on the child, Juuzou is pulled into a dangerous chase that links the fugitive Extended to Berühren Corporation and exposes how deep the city’s corruption and betrayal really run.
