Mieruko-chan

Mieruko-chan follows Miko Yotsuya, a high school girl whose ordinary routine collapses when she suddenly begins seeing grotesque monsters that no one else can perceive. One terrifying encounter after another forces her to keep her eyes fixed on her phone and her expression frozen, even when a creature leans close enough to whisper, "Can you see me?" Before that day, Miko lived an unassuming school life and enjoyed late-night horror shows only as entertainment, never expecting that her own world would one day be filled with the very things she used to watch from a safe distance. Unable to explain what she sees, Miko makes a desperate choice: she will never, under any condition, acknowledge the presence of the spirits around her. That rule becomes harder to maintain as the monsters keep appearing in everyday places and troubling the people near her, especially her energetic and lovely best friend, Hana Yurikawa. Determined to protect Hana and preserve some sense of normalcy, Miko continues through school life while trying to ignore the horrors lurking at her side, turning every day into a tense battle between fear, silence, and survival.
