Mashle centers on Mash Burnedead, whose impossible physical strength keeps colliding with a world governed by magic, the Bureau of Magic, and the Divine Visionaries. After Mash's clash with Magia Lupus reveals the secret behind his powers, the story moves beyond the academy battles and into a wider conflict over whether someone like Mash can survive in a society that judges people by magical ability. The consequences come quickly: the Bureau of Magic summons him before the Divine Visionaries, who decide that Mash should pay for what he is and die. At the same time, the shadow organization Innocent Zero interrupts the proceedings and demands that Mash be kept alive, turning a public judgment into a struggle over his future.
Mash proves he can handle Innocent Zero, but the Divine Visionaries do not change their verdict. With unexpected help from Divine Visionary Rayne Ames and Headmaster Wahlberg Baigan, Mash wins a temporary reprieve, and his life is spared only until Innocent Zero is defeated. From there, the series follows his ongoing fight to remain alive long enough to become a Divine Visionary candidate by year's end, keeping the balance between comedy, brute force, and escalating magical conflict.
