Koroshi Ai centers on Chateau Dankworth, a novice bounty hunter whose first real encounters with danger leave her badly outmatched by a mysterious man who can overpower her in combat with ease. Rather than finishing her off, he becomes fixated on her, even stepping in to help with her missions, though Chateau makes it clear that she has no interest in entertaining any personal involvement with him.
That man is Song Ryang-ha, an expert assassin and former member of a powerful Asian organization. When Chateau's company later assigns her the task of eliminating him, the tension between them becomes impossible to ignore. Against her better judgment, she agrees to meet him under an unusual deal: if she goes out with him, he will provide the locations of current targets, dead or alive. Their arrangement turns the hunter and the assassin into uneasy partners, bound together by curiosity, professional danger, and a history neither of them fully understands.
As the past begins to surface, their fragile pact grows harder to maintain, and the line between pursuit and protection becomes increasingly dangerous for both of them.
