Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita unfolds in a future where humanity has dwindled to a tiny remnant after birth rates declined for decades. The surviving people live among the ruins and relics of earlier generations, trying to navigate a world that no longer seems built for them. Earth is now dominated by fairies: small beings with startlingly advanced technology, an insatiable love of candy, and little understanding of just how dangerous their antics can be to humans.
At the center of the series is a young girl who returns to her hometown after finishing her studies and is appointed an official United Nations arbitrator. As a bridge between mankind and the fairies, she is expected to keep communication open, defuse misunderstandings, and reassure both sides that coexistence is still possible. In practice, that role throws her into one absurd crisis after another as the fairies’ candy-fueled schemes spiral into bizarre and unpredictable disasters.
Balancing dry humor, unease, and post-apocalyptic fantasy, Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita follows a fragile world in which the last humans must rely on wit, diplomacy, and luck if they want any hope of sharing Earth with its strange new rulers.
