Inu x Boku SS follows Ririchiyo Shirakiin, the sheltered daughter of a renowned family who has spent her life protected by wealth and status. Determined to live on her own terms, she moves into Maison de Ayakashi, a secluded high-security apartment complex where every resident is unusual in one way or another—and where Ririchiyo herself is part-human and part-youkai.
To live there, each resident is assigned a Secret Service agent, and Ririchiyo’s partner is Soushi Miketsukami. He is a handsome, quiet guardian who seems normal at first glance, but he is disarmingly clingy and unsettlingly submissive toward her. As Ririchiyo struggles with her sharp tongue, poor communication skills, and the awkward transition into high school, she also has to navigate the bizarre personalities inside Maison de Ayakashi and the complications of sharing her new home with supernatural neighbors.
The result is a story built around awkward daily life, strange bonds, and the tension between private insecurity and the forced closeness of apartment living. Within Maison de Ayakashi, every interaction can become a test of trust, patience, and self-control.
