Freezing

In Freezing, humanity is locked in a war against the alien Novas, and the conflict has transformed the frontline into academies such as West Genetics, where young women known as Pandoras are trained to wield stigmata-enhanced power. They are paired with male partners called Limiters, who support them in battle and help keep their power under control. The story centers on Kazuya Aoi, a student who becomes Satellizer el Bridget’s Limiter. Satellizer is one of West Genetics’ most formidable Pandoras, but her icy reputation and solitary nature make her difficult to approach, let alone fight beside. Forced into close cooperation, Kazuya and Satellizer must learn how to trust one another while surviving the academy’s brutal hierarchy, intense rivalries, and repeated Nova attacks. Freezing blends school drama, military science fiction, and superpowered action, but its franchise-wide core remains the same: the pressure placed on Pandoras and Limiters, the harsh training at West Genetics, and the constant sense that every battle can decide humanity’s survival.
