Elfen Lied

Elfen Lied centers on Lucy, a Diclonius—a mutant human born with short horns and invisible telekinetic vectors—who escapes a secret research facility after years of brutal captivity. A head injury leaves her split between a merciless killer and a childlike personality, and when she drifts into the lives of Kouta and his cousin Yuka, they take her in and offer her a fragile shelter that is immediately threatened by the violence she carries with her and by the forces still hunting her. Built on horror, tragedy, and psychological drama, Elfen Lied unfolds around a hidden population of Diclonius and the fear, prejudice, and exploitation surrounding them.
