Digimon follows a franchise built around children and teenagers pulled between the real world and the Digital World, where Digimon creatures become allies, guardians, and battle partners. At its core, Digimon is about ordinary people forced to adapt to an extraordinary realm, trust the partners beside them, and confront threats that can affect both worlds. Adventure, friendship, and survival stay at the center of each chapter, whether the cast is fighting to get home or stepping forward to protect the worlds they have learned to care about.
The franchise began with Digimon Adventure, where seven children go to summer camp and are shocked when snow falls in July. In the confusion, each receives an odd device that sends them to another world. When they wake up, strange creatures calling themselves Digimon explain that they are in the Digital World, far from home. With only the Digivices for protection, the group searches for a way back while facing unknown evils. Led by the impulsive Taichi Yagami and his hungry partner Agumon, the children must keep moving, learn to rely on one another, and survive long enough to understand why they were brought there.
Later stories expand that premise with new teams, new allies, and new dangers, but they keep the same mix of wonder, rivalry, and high-stakes bonds between humans and Digimon.
