Blue Lock follows Yoichi Isagi, a high school striker whose last chance to send his soccer team to the nationals disappears in a split-second choice to pass instead of shoot. That decision leaves him angry at himself and unsure whether he failed because of hesitation, teamwork, or simply a lack of the killer instinct a true striker needs. When he returns home, an invitation from the Japan Football Union changes everything.
Isagi is selected as one of 300 U-18 strikers recruited into Blue Lock, a controversial project built to create the star striker for the Japanese national team. Inside this harsh system, the players are forced to prove themselves through a chain of solo and team competitions where talent, ego, and adaptability matter as much as raw scoring ability. Every match pushes them to decide how far they are willing to go to survive, and whether cooperation can exist in a place designed to reward ruthlessness.
Although Isagi has ethical objections to the project, he cannot ignore the chance to rise above the rest. To reach the top, he must keep evolving, outthink his rivals, and fight for his place even if that means crushing the dreams of 299 other aspiring young strikers.
