Back Street Girls

Back Street Girls centers on three yakuza enforcers—Kentarou, Ryou, and Kazuhiko—who are punished after failing their boss one too many times. Sent to Thailand for sex reassignment surgery and a year of idol training, they return as Airi, Chika, and Mari, the rookie trio known as The Goku Dolls. Suddenly forced to trade intimidation for smiles, they must perform on stage, sell cute charm, and endure the relentless expectations of the idol industry while hiding the gangster habits that refuse to disappear. To keep the group alive, their boss assigns Mandarin Kinoshita, a veteran manager with a spotless record, to guide them through the chaos. Between brutal rehearsals, backstage disasters, and the constant threat of their old yakuza instincts breaking through, the three men-turned-idols struggle to survive both their new image and their former lives. Back Street Girls turns that clash into a rowdy battle between pride, discipline, and pop-star fantasy, as the Goku Dolls try to win success without losing themselves.
