ひこうき雲

"ひこうき雲" is performed by Yumi Matsutoya and was used as ED 1 for Studio Ghibli's 2013 film Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises, 風立ちぬ). Although it appeared in the film in 2013, the song was originally released in 1973 as the title track of 荒井由実's debut album ひこうき雲.

荒井由実 wrote both the lyrics and the music, and キャラメル・ママ arranged the song. Yumi Matsutoya's recording is also included on the Kaze Tachinu soundtrack, and she later sang "ひこうき雲" on television for the first time at the 64th NHK 紅白歌合戦.
