Biography

Yuriko Kaida is a Japanese vocalist and studio/live musician whose work is closely associated with Yuki Kajiura’s projects. Trained at Kunitachi College of Music, she built her career after graduation by singing and supporting artists in recording studios and on tours, contributing vocals and backing chorus work to numerous performances and productions. As a long-time Kajiura vocalist, Kaida first met Yuki Kajiura during the NOIR project in 2001, beginning a collaboration that became one of the defining threads of her career. From that point onward, her voice has been a familiar presence in Kajiura’s music, appearing both as a lead vocal and as part of carefully layered choral arrangements. She is especially known for performing the songs that helped Yuki Kajiura break into the anime world: “Canta per Me,” “Lullaby,” and “Salva Nos.” These tracks remain closely tied to Kaida’s name and are among the most recognizable examples of her contribution to Kajiura’s soundtrack work. Whether she is heard in the chorus or featured as the main vocalist, Yuriko Kaida’s voice remains a recurring part of Yuki Kajiura’s catalog. Her background in professional session work and collaborative vocal performance makes her a notable figure for listeners searching for artists connected to anime and anison-related music.
