Wagakki Band is a Japanese j-rock group formed in 2013 around vocalist Yuko Suzuhana, also credited as Yuuko Suzuhana (鈴華ゆう子), a shigin singer who was elected Miss NicoNama (ニコ生) in 2011. Signed to Avex Trax, the project blends Vocaloid songs, wagakki, and Western rock into a hybrid sound that connects traditional Japanese instruments with modern rock arrangements.
Its lineup includes Yuuko Suzuhana on vocals, Kiyoshi Ibukuro on koto, Daisuke Kaminaga on shakuhachi, Beni Ninagawa on tsugaru jamisen, Kurona on wadaiko, Machiya on guitar, Asa on bass, and Wasabi on drums. That combination of traditional timbres and rock instrumentation defines the band's identity and the way listeners search for its members and style. Wagakki Band became especially known for turning familiar Vocaloid material into performances that feel both modern and rooted in Japanese tradition, and in December 2024 the group entered hiatus. In June 2026, Suzuhana also reunited with Vocaloid producer Kurousa for the new song '神代夜想曲', their first collaboration in 10 years.
