wacci

wacci is a Japanese pop band formed in 2009 and signed to Epic Records Japan. Known for heartfelt melodies, poignant lyrics, and storytelling-driven songs, the group has built an identity around music that feels personal, warm, and easy to connect with. The band’s name means "to embrace" in Japanese, a fitting description for a style that often centers on everyday emotions and direct, relatable writing. Musically, wacci blends j-pop, pop rock, acoustic textures, and folk-influenced touches into melodic arrangements that highlight love, growth, and other lived-in experiences. The lineup includes 因幡始, 橋口洋平, 村中慧慈, 小野裕基, and 横山祐介, and their catalogue has reached anime listeners as well, including the song "Kimi no Koto ga Dai Dai Dai Dai Daisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo." Through albums, singles, and live performances, wacci has developed a reputation for emotionally direct songwriting and a sound that connects with both mainstream pop audiences and anime fans.
