Biography
ViViD was a Japanese visual kei band formed in Tokyo in 2009, known for combining rock, pop, and electronic elements into a high-energy style. The lineup featured vocalist Shin, guitarists Reno and Ryoga, bassist Iv, and drummer Ko-ki. From the beginning, ViViD stood out for its polished arrangements and striking visual identity, qualities that helped the band gain attention quickly and led to a major label debut shortly after formation.
As a band active in the late 2000s and early 2010s, ViViD developed a sound that balanced heavy rock drive with melodic hooks and synth-driven textures. That mix made the group appealing both within the visual kei scene and to listeners looking for accessible J-rock with a strong pop edge.
