VALSHE

VALSHE (バルシェ, born September 15, 1986) is a Japanese singer and utaite who has been active since 2010. She began posting videos of VOCALOID songs on Niconico in 2009 under the name バルシェ and became known for a low vocal range and husky tone described as a ryouseirui style. Her CD debut came in March 2010 with the dmARTS album "valuable sheaves", which combined popular VOCALOID covers, a T.M.Revolution cover, and original songs written with minato after the two connected through his internet radio program. Illustrator Hakuseki created the jacket art, and VALSHE, minato, and Hakuseki became the core unit behind much of her subsequent work. In September 2010 she adopted the name VALSHE and made her major debut on 5pb.Records with the mini-album "storyteller", which included songs by minato and one by Doriko. She followed with the singles "REVOLT e.p." and "JESTER", and wrote and composed "Vessel". After establishing Oth, she released her first full album, "PLAY THE JOKER", in 2012, and "Fragment" from "AFFLICT/Fragment" served as the ending theme of "奇跡体験!アンビリバボー" that year. She later moved to Being and released "4 FELIDS" in 2013. That same year, "BLESSING CARD" became her first anime tie-in as the ending theme of "探検ドリランド -1000年の真宝-", where she also made a brief voice-acting appearance, and "Butterfly Core" was used as the opening theme of "Meitantei Conan"; her work for the series also includes the ending theme "Kimi e no Uso (君への嘘)". In 2014, "Butterfly Core" reached No. 1 on the weekly USEN HIT J-POP ranking and she released the second full album "V.D.". She has also worked with producer-utaite Tourai, including live sessions, expanded her activity through the unit ViCTiM with minato, and developed a visual style through Hakuseki's artwork that has been compared with Kagamine Len for its blonde hair, blue eyes, and youthful styling. She is signed to B Zone.
