TOMATO CUBE

TOMATO CUBE was a Japanese pop band active from 1998 to 2002, known for their melodic sound within the J-pop scene. The group consisted of vocalist Chisato Nishimura, alongside guitarists Akira Yamamoto and Ryudai Takahashi. They gained significant recognition in the anime community for performing the ending theme "1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou" (a cover of the SIAM SHADE classic) and notably the ending theme "Yume wo Dakishimete" for the anime series Kaze no Yojimbo. After signing with Warner Music Japan in 2000, the band released several singles and albums that showcased their bright, guitar-driven pop style. Despite their relatively short career, their contributions to the early 2000s anime music landscape remain a nostalgic touchpoint for fans of the era. Following the band's dissolution in 2002, lead singer Chisato Nishimura continued her musical journey by forming the band MellowCap. Today, TOMATO CUBE is remembered for their earnest approach to pop music and their brief but impactful presence in the industry.
