The Sketchbook is a Japanese rock band formed in 2011 as an anime theme-song act for SKET Dance, and it has releases on Avex Entertainment. From the beginning, the group was closely tied to the series through its opening and ending contributions, which made it a recognizable name among anime music listeners, especially for fans looking for artists connected to the series’ theme songs.
The lineup featured Vocals/Bass: Hiroshi Tada (多田 宏), Guitar: Riko Kohara (小原 莉子), and Drums: Yuu Watanabe (渡邊 悠). Their first two singles, "Michi" and "Clover," were released on the same day, helping define the band’s early identity with strong vocal melodies and a straightforward rock performance style suited to anime theme songs and live shows.
After their last concert at Tatsuya-O-West on March 23, 2015, The Sketchbook announced its disbandment because each member wanted to focus on their own dreams. The members thanked fans for their support, closing a short but memorable career that remains closely associated with SKET Dance.
