sweet ARMS

sweet ARMS is a Japanese vocal unit formed in 2012 for the anime adaptation of 『うぽって!!』. The group was created by voice actresses and singers Iori Nomizu, Misuzu Togashi, Kaori Sadohara, and Misato; all four members were initially affiliated with Production Ace and later left the agency. Signed to Nippon Columbia, sweet ARMS performs anison and character-driven J-pop and pop-rock built around bright melodies, energetic arrangements, and ensemble vocals rather than a single lead. The unit later became associated with Date A Live through theme songs such as the opening "I swear" and the ending songs "S.O.S", "Invisible Date", and "Hitohira (ヒトヒラ)". The name sweet ARMS combines "sweet" with "short arms", a reference to the rifles that form the motif of 『うぽって!!』.
