siraph is a Japanese band formed in 2016 around Annabel and the musicians who had supported her solo work. The group grew out of the Annabel Band assembled for the release concert of her 2014 solo album TALK. After that performance, the musicians continued playing together, and recording by the band members began in 2015.
Since becoming active in 2016, siraph has been associated with art pop, math pop, and math rock, and has worked with Victor Music Arts. Its early releases established the project as a full band rather than a temporary backing unit. In May 2016, siraph issued its first distributed mini album, siraph. That was followed in January 2017 by the single "quiet squall", which was used as the ending theme of Bloodivores.
The band has also been noted for combining detailed songwriting rooted in post-rock and electronica with a visual component in live performance.
