Shizuka Furuya

Shizuka Furuya (古谷静佳; born December 26, 1988) is a Japanese voice actress from Akita, Japan. Before entering the voice-acting profession, she worked full-time at a drugstore in her hometown. She studied at the Production Ace acting institute and made her voice-acting debut in 2011 as Nano Shinonome in Nichijou, where she also performed the ending themes "Kikyuu ni Notte Dokomademo (気球にのってどこまでも)" and "Tabidachi no hi ni (旅立ちの日に)." She was initially attached to Production Ace and became a full member in March 2013, then left the agency in October 2014 and worked freelance. A serious traffic accident in 2015 led to a long interruption in her career. Furuya resumed voice-acting work with AxiS Management in 2020. After her return, she appeared in games including Princess Connect!Re:Dive and later took television anime roles again, including a ship announcement role in The Detective Is Already Dead.
