Biography
Shiori Sasaki (佐々木詩織) is a Japanese singer, chorus artist, and lyricist born on September 19, 1993 in Kanagawa Prefecture. She comes from a musical family — her mother is the renowned session singer Kumi Sasaki — and began working professionally as a child, singing in commercials before moving into a remarkably wide-ranging career spanning jazz, pop, soundtrack work, and children's music.
Sasaki trained in the jazz vocal course at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, where she studied under jazz vocalist Gira Jilka and performed with the school's select big band, Get Jazz Orchestra. In 2014 she was personally selected by composer Yuji Ohno to join the chorus group Fujiko Chan's, contributing vocals to Lupin the Third and other Ohno productions — an entry point into the world of anime music that has come to define part of her profile.
