Shintaro Asanuma

Shintaro Asanuma (浅沼 晋太郎; born January 5, 1976) is a Japanese voice actor, singer, screenwriter, director, copywriter, and designer from Morioka, Japan. Active since 1999, his work spans anime performance, character music, stage productions, and other media. After graduating from 仙台育英学園高等学校特別進学コース and 多摩美術大学美術学部二部芸術学科映像コース, he began theater activities in 2000 with PASS IT CREW. In 2003, he formed TOON BULLETS!, and in 2007 he later helped launch bpm, writing and directing its regular productions. Alongside his stage work, he also wrote and directed radio dramas, events, games, 2.5-dimensional stage productions, and television commercials. He began working in voice acting in earnest after passing the audition for the television anime Zegapain in 2006. He was affiliated with Office Osawa from October 2007 to June 2012, then moved to DANDELION in July 2012. As a singer, Asanuma has combined spoken roles with anime-associated music, particularly through Assassination Classroom's voice-actor unit 3-nen E-gumi Utatan. With the group, he performed the Ansatsu Kyoushitsu openings "Seishun Satsubatsu-ron (青春サツバツ論)", "Jiriki Hongan Revolution (自力本願レボリューション)", "QUESTION", and "Bye Bye Yesterday (バイバイ YESTERDAY)". In 2019 he received the Singing Award at the 13th Seiyu Awards as part of Hypnosis Mic. In August 2025 he took part in the reunion of 3-nen E-gumi Utatan for a new song.
