reGretGirl

reGretGirl is a Japanese three-piece rock band formed in Osaka in 2015. After the band's formation, the original members other than 平部 left, and the present lineup of 平部雅洋, 前田将司, and 十九川宗裕 was established. Signed to 日本コロムビア, the group plays rock built on melodic guitar lines and clear vocal hooks. Its lyrics focus on everyday emotions, relationship tension, and introspective moods, while drawing on alternative rock energy as well as j-pop and pop rock. In December 2017, reGretGirl released its first nationwide distribution record, the album "my", through No Big Deal Records. The music video for "ホワイトアウト" was later widely used on TikTok and surpassed 42 million views by May 2025. In April 2026, the band released the music video for "Submarine Youth (サブマリンユース)", the OP of "Class de 2 banme ni Kawaii Onnanoko to Tomodachi ni Natta" (I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class). The band's name came from 平部's resolve after a breakup to become famous and make the girl who rejected him regret it.
