Ore Ska Band is an all-female Japanese band from Sakai, formed in May 2003 while the members were still in middle school. Signed to Sony Music Entertainment Japan, the group blends ska, ska punk, j-pop, reggae, and rock into a bright, brass-led sound built on melodic hooks, fast rhythms, and lively arrangements. Its lineup has included ADD, morico, HAYAMI, iCas, ザキ, and tae, and that mix of players has helped define the band’s energetic identity.
Ore Ska Band is also closely linked to anime music. One of its best-known credits is the opening theme for Sakura Quest, a song that introduced the band to a wider anime audience and reinforced its place in the anime song scene. Beyond that credit, the band has continued to build a catalog of albums and performances, while its live shows and catchy tunes have kept it a familiar name in Japanese alternative music for listeners drawn in through anime soundtracks.
