Novelbright is a Japanese rock band formed in Osaka in 2013, officially beginning on September 13, 2013. Led by Yuudai Takenaka’s high-register vocals, the group is known for emotional rock ballads, energetic anthems, driving guitar riffs, and polished pop sensibilities that place their sound across j-rock, pop rock, and j-pop.
The band has built its profile through major-label releases and high-profile anime tie-ins. Anime fans know Novelbright for "Kyoukai-sen," the opening theme they performed for 86 -Eighty Six-. In 2026, they also provided the opening song for The Ramparts of Ice and released an anime version music video, strengthening their presence in anime music and anison audiences. Their lineup has included Yuudai Takenaka (竹中雄大) on vocals, Kaito Yamada (山田海斗) on guitar, Soujirou Oki (沖聡次郎) on guitar/keyboards, Negi (ねぎ) on drums, Keigo (圭吾) on bass, and Yutaro (勇太朗).
