Myuk is the music project of 熊川みゆ, a Japanese singer-songwriter born on February 14, 2001. Raised in Kumamoto, she began with min'yō after encouragement from her grandfather and, as a child, reached national-level competitions. Later, influenced by YUI, Ayaka, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift, she started writing songs with smartphone apps and acoustic guitar.
A charity event in Kumamoto led to early live opportunities. At 15, she appeared at HAPPY JACK. From November 2018, she began a run of monthly song releases, received radio airplay on J-WAVE and FM802, and performed at Tokyo Guitar Jamboree, Ryogoku Kokugikan, and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. She later moved to Tokyo for university.
On December 15, 2020, after an encounter with Eve, she announced the solo project Myuk, describing the name as a coinage from the Swedish word "Mjuk" and Miyu Kumagawa. Her work spans J-pop and anime theme songs. In 2021, her first single as Myuk, "Mahou (魔法)," became the ending theme of "Yakusoku no Neverland".
She released her first album "Arcana" on January 24, 2024. The following month, she took part in the ALFA55 anniversary project with a cover of "翼をください". In 2025, she contributed ending songs to Touring After the Apocalypse and Betrothed to My Sister's Ex, and music videos for those songs were shared in July and October 2025. Her anime-related work also includes "Glide", the ending theme of "Shuumatsu Touring".
