Miho Komatsu

Miho Komatsu (小松未歩) is a retired Japanese pop singer and songwriter from Kobe, Japan. Born on March 30, 1974, she entered the music scene through a band called "Keyboard", and a demo tape later sent to Giza Studio led to her signing with Zain Records. Her work is associated with J-pop and singer-songwriter pop, and she became known for a polished melodic style that translated well to anime-related releases. Her debut single, Nazo, was an immediate success and established the tone of her career. Over time, Komatsu built a substantial catalog, recording 26 singles and 11 albums. A major part of her recognition comes from Detective Conan: four of her songs were included in The Best of Detective Conan, a soundtrack album for the anime that sold over a million copies. That connection helped make her especially visible to anime fans and to listeners who follow long-running anime music releases. In addition to her own recordings, Komatsu also composed songs for other artists, including Arisa Tsujio, Wands, Field of View, Deen, and Rina Aiuchi. Her songwriting work extended her influence beyond her solo releases and into the wider Giza Studio orbit. Although retired, Miho Komatsu remains a notable figure in Japanese pop and anime music because of her chart success, her songwriting credits, and her lasting association with Detective Conan.
