mekakushe

mekakushe is a Japanese singer-songwriter and solo artist born on July 26, 1995. Her music spans contemporary classical, J-pop, and pop, and she releases work through mekakusi records. Built around clear melodies and a restrained emotional palette, her songs balance intimacy with a contemporary pop sensibility that makes her catalog easy to discover for listeners interested in Japanese solo artists and artist-driven music. In anime music, mekakushe has become especially notable for her work on Kowloon Generic Romance. In 2025, she released the anime’s ending song music video and later shared lyric videos for the insert songs used in episodes 7 and 10–11. That connection gives her a clear place in searches for anime song artists, while her broader sound also appeals to listeners looking for reflective Japanese pop with a calm, melodic character.
