May J. (born June 20, 1988) is a Japanese J-pop and pop singer from Yokohama, Japan. She performs in Japanese, English, and Persian, and her background includes family ties to Kansai on her father’s side and to Iran, Russia, Spain, the UK, and Turkey on her mother’s side. She won 26 times on Karaoke in "Kanjani no Shiwake∞" without losing once between June 16, 2012 and May 3, 2014, when she lost for the first time. She also hosted the English-language NHK World program "J Melo" and sang the official Japanese Frozen theme song, "Let It Go ~ Ari no Mama de~." She is signed to Rhythm Zone.
