LMYK is a singer-songwriter from Osaka, Japan, raised in a multicultural household with a Japanese mother and a German father. While attending college in New York City, she began writing music and performing, and her songs soon drew attention from legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who offered to produce her music.
By blending Japanese and English lyrics, LMYK has developed a distinctive sound built around her gentle voice and carefully layered production. Her collaboration with Jam & Lewis helped shape an identity that is both intimate and polished, giving her music a clear presence in contemporary pop and anime-related releases.
She made her debut with "Unity," the theme song for the Japanese dubbed version of the anime movie Luo Xiao Hei Zhan Ji (Boku ga Erabu Mirai; The Legend of Hei), released in November 2020. In 2021, she followed with "0 (zero)," the ending theme of Vanitas no Karte (The Case Study of Vanitas), a release that further expanded her visibility.
LMYK released her first album, DESSERTS, in March 2023, and the record included "Without Love," the ending theme for Vinland Saga Season 2. LMYK are the initials of her real name, and her catalogue continues to connect singer-songwriter craftsmanship with memorable anime theme songs.
