Lil'B

Lil'B is a Japanese pop project formed in 2007. In its early days it was a two-member female group, made up of vocalist MIE and rapper AILA. The duo debuted in 2008 on Defstar Records with "Orange," the 15th ending theme of Bleach. Its music combined melodic pop and rap, relying on the contrast between MIE's voice and AILA's verses. Also in 2008, "Kimi ni Utatta Love Song" reached first place on the RIAJ monthly ringtone chart. Lil'B also performed "Tsunaida Te (つないだ手)," an ending theme of "Fullmetal Alchemist." The name Lil'B comes from "little" and the letter "B" from "betray." In 2011, AILA left the unit, and since then Lil'B has continued as MIE's solo project.
