Lena Park

Lena Park, also known as Park Jung-hyun, is a Korean-American singer-songwriter whose work spans contemporary R&B and soul. Born on March 23, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, she grew up in Downey, where her voice was shaped in her father’s church choir and where she sang with her siblings Brian and Uriah. She later studied saxophone and piano, attended Columbia University as an English literature major, and made her South Korean debut in 1998 with the album Piece. By the mid-2000s, Park had released multiple Korean albums and singles as well as Japanese albums and singles, building a career in both markets through labels including Hip Land Music Corp. She made her solo debut in Japan on November 25, 2004, took part in the 2002 FIFA World Cup theme project and performed "Let's get together now" at the opening and closing ceremonies as part of Voices of KOREA/JAPAN, and in 2007 released "Inori ~You Raise Me Up~", the opening theme of "Romeo x Juliet".
