Kiyoharu

Kiyoharu (清春), born on October 30, 1968, in Tajimi, Gifu, is a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician. Active since 1986, he is best known as the vocalist of Kuroyume and Sads. He formed Kuroyume in 1991 and made his major-label debut with the band in 1994; after Kuroyume entered an indefinite hiatus in 1999, he went on to form Sads. In 2003, he launched his solo career, performing as both a singer and guitarist. Across Kuroyume, Sads, and his solo work, he became closely associated with Japanese rock in the 1990s and 2000s, with a dark, melodic approach to the genre. As a solo artist, Kiyoharu performed the opening themes "Slow" for "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge" and "SURVIVE OF VISION" for "Blade of the Immortal". He has also recorded for Universal Music Group. In 2026, reports on Kuroyume activity and a Billboard Live tour after a two-year gap indicated that he remained active.
