Kairi Yagi

Kairi Yagi (born September 5, 2002) is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Hiroshima Prefecture. She passed an audition for Actors School Hiroshima in elementary school, taught herself guitar from her third year of junior high school, and moved alone to Tokyo at 15 to pursue singing. On December 3, 2018, she opened a YouTube channel and built her early audience through cover performances before moving into larger projects. Her breakthrough came with the April 2021 original TV anime Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-, for which she provided the singing for Vivy and Diva, including "A Tender Moon Tempo," "Sing My Pleasure," and "Galaxy Anthem." The role brought her broader attention and led to No. 1 on RecoChoku's newcomer download charts for the first half of 2021. She made her major debut on Ki/oon Music on December 18, 2021 with the digital single "Ripe Aster," later released the EPs 水気を謳う in 2022 and 健やかDE居たい in 2023, and in the same year performed "know me..." for Undead Unluck. In December 2024, she launched Kairi Yagi Electric Play with keyboardist 藤田聖史 of 鋭児 and drummer 市原太郎; the project later performed "ACTION!" for Shin Samurai-den Yaiba in 2025.
