HERO is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 2007 and associated with PCI Music. Based in Japan, it works within the visual kei tradition. Its style combines theatrical presentation and a strong visual identity with guitar-centered rock arrangements, catchy melodies and lyrics with a message.
In 2010, the single "ピリオド" generated enough advance demand to delay its release in stores. On July 10, 2013, HERO made its major debut with the single "答え合わせ" on 日本クラウン. The band also performed "Tenohira (テノヒラ)", the opening theme of Fairy Tail.
After suspending activities following its December 22, 2017 concert at ZeppTokyo, HERO resumed its activities on December 6, 2019 at LIQUIDROOM.
