Biography

F.T. Island (also written FTISLAND, Korean: 에프티 아일랜드), also known as Five Treasure Island or FTI, is a South Korean band formed in 2007 and signed to FNC Entertainment. The name stands for Five Treasure Island, and the group is associated with K-pop and pop rock. Today it is commonly described as a three-member South Korean band after years of lineup changes, but its history has included Choi Jong-hoon, Lee Hong-gi, Lee Jae-jin, Choi Min-hwan, and Song Seung-hyun. Those changes became central to the band’s public story: Jonghoon was removed from the group in March 2019, and Seunghyun ended his contract with FNC in December 2019. Even with that turning point, F.T. Island remains a recognizable South Korean pop rock act whose name, members, and lineup evolution continue to attract searches for its background and history.
