Biography

DJ Misoshiru & MC Gohan (DJみそしるとMCごはん, born October 25, 1989) is a Japanese musician and hip-hop MC from Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture. A solo artist affiliated with Sony Music Artists and signed to Ki/oon Music, she began the project in 2012 with the graduation work “DJみそしるとMCごはん -くいしんぼうHIPHOPー,” based on the idea that recipes could be learned through song. After the project was uploaded to YouTube, OTOTOY released “Mother's Food” digitally in August 2012, and she gave her first live performance that same month. In 2013, she issued a limited handmade package edition of “Mother's Food.” In November, she made her major-label debut with 『おりおりのおりょうり〜X'mas〜』. She began creating the music-and-cooking television program ごちそんぐDJ for NHK Eテレ in 2014. In 2016, its “のりまき” episode received the Gold Camera Award. For anime, she performed “Apron Boy (エプロンボーイ),” the opening theme of Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan.
