Delta Goodrem

Delta Lea Goodrem (born 9 November 1984) is an Australian singer, songwriter and actress from Sydney. Active since 2001, she has recorded for Sony Music, and her work spans pop, alternative pop and ballads, blending melodic pop songs with slower ballads. A five-track demo she made at 13 led to her Sony contract. She debuted with "I Don't Care" in 2001, appeared in the Australian drama "Neighbours" in 2002, and performed "Born To Try", which became her first number-one single. She then achieved five consecutive number-one singles in Australia, a national first, and released the album "Innocent Eyes" in 2003, which spent 29 weeks at No. 1 in Australia. After recovering from Hodgkin lymphoma, she returned to No. 1 with "Out of the Blue" in 2004 and released the album "Mistaken Identity" later that year. Her official website is deltagoodrem.com. Goodrem also recorded "In This Life ~ Tabidachi made no 3 Step" as the opening theme for the extended 12-episode run of the anime "Deltora Quest" in Japan. She went on to score a ninth Australian number-one single with "Wings" in 2015, portray Olivia Newton-John in the 2018 television film "Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You", and release the soundtrack album "I Honestly Love You". Her 2021 album "Bridge over Troubled Dreams" became her fifth Australian No. 1 album. Based in Sydney, she has sold more than eight million albums worldwide, recorded nine number-one singles and 17 top-ten hits on the ARIA Singles Chart, and won three World Music Awards, 12 ARIA Music Awards and an MTV Video Music Award. In March 2026, she was announced as Australia's Eurovision 2026 representative, and in June 2026 she was confirmed for the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
