DA PUMP

DA PUMP is a Japanese dance-pop and J-pop group that formed in November 1996 and debuted in 1997 under Avex Trax. Built around high-energy performances, sharp choreography, and rhythmic hooks, the group has included SHINOBU, YUKINARI, KEN, ISSA, DAICHI, KENZO, KIMI, TOMO, U-YEAH, and YORI across its history. Over the years, DA PUMP has released several successful singles and albums, maintaining a long-running presence in Japanese popular music. Their catalog is known for blending pop, hip hop, and dance music, with songs designed for performance as much as radio play. One of their most emblematic tracks, 'U.S.A.', became a major hit in 2018 and introduced DA PUMP to an even wider audience, reinforcing their place in Japanese pop culture. The group has also collaborated with various artists and, decades after its debut, remains associated with upbeat songs, polished choreography, and a lasting place in J-pop history. In 2025, DA PUMP was announced as the performer of the opening theme for Mr. Osomatsu Season 4, extending its connection to anime music.
